7 Things to Look for in a 2027 Digital Planner
A digital planner is just a PDF with links inside it, but the way those links are built decides whether you keep using it in February. Before you download anything for 2027, check these seven things.
1. Tabs that are actually linked
Month tabs down the side should jump straight to that month from every page. Open the preview and look for an index page; if the description says "hyperlinked", test a few links on the first day.
2. Monday or Sunday start
Pick the week start you already use on your phone calendar. Many 2027 planners ship both versions in one download, which saves you a second purchase.
3. Page count that fits your habits
A 600-page planner with daily pages is great if you write every day. If you plan weekly, a smaller file is faster to scroll and lighter on storage.
4. App support
Most hyperlinked PDFs work in the common note-taking apps on tablets. Read the listing for the apps it was tested with, and check whether it is landscape or portrait.
5. Extra pages you will use
Budget, meal and habit pages are useful only if you would print them anyway. Skip planners stuffed with trackers you will never open.

6. Undated note pages
Spare lined, dot and grid pages let you add meeting notes or lists without breaking the structure.
7. Licence and updates
Personal-use files are fine for your own planning. If a listing promises yearly updates, note where you will download them.
